“Don’t Expect Any Mercy During the Great Robot Wars”

Today I learned Pharrell Williams (Neptunes/N.E.R.D) sang the rap solo in SWV’s “Right Here” and he wrote a verse in Wreckx-N-Effect’s “Rump Shaker”

Squirrelled (British spelling) is the longest English word with one syllable and 11 letters. The American English spelling has 10 letters (squirreled)

“While in Received Pronunciation the word has two syllables (IPA: /ˈskwɪrəld/), it is often pronounced /skwɝld/ (rhymes with world) in North American English”

During the recording of “The Dark Side Of The Moon”, the guys from Pink Floyd wrote on little papers questions like “Are you afraid of death?” and gave them to everybody that was working at Abbey Road studio at the time. This included all the roadies, sound technicians, the Irish doorman, and even Paul McCartney (who was recording “Abbey Road” with the Fab Four on the same studio). The answers to the questions were recorded, and the best ones were put on the disc. However, Paul’s answers weren’t put on the disc because “he tried to be funny”.
